PP (polypropylene)

 Most Common Uses:

PP is commonly used in Some yogurt containers, syrup bottles, ketchup bottles, caps, straws, medicine bottles

Health Risks:

The risks are low. there is little research on the effects of PP. It is believed that it is safe to heat food in containers made of this plastic. There is no evidence of toxicity and its release (temperature that causes leaching is over 400 degrees Fahrenheit when in contact with fats and oils.

 PracticeSurvival.com highly recommends that you store food and water in glass or stainless-steel containers whenever possible.

 Do your best to limit exposure to plastics with codes 1, 3, 6, or 7
