How to Prepare for a Disaster & What To Do After

Details

We will be returning to a more formal training approach. That will include PowerPoint Presentations: Cut into 10-15 minute segments on specific topics.
Any hands on and interactive content will be saved for the end.

While Will likes the fully interactive structure it has become clear from feedback that members lose track or are left with questions.
As usual we will have a lively discussion after. Our time constraints require that we are completely out of the building by 21:00 hrs.

The topic for this month will be:
How to Prepare for a Disaster & What To Do After

There are always looming disasters in the world. We are not Doomsday Preppers, we are survivalists who are prepared for whatever life throws at us every day. The idea is if we have practiced key skills in how to overcome known and historical disaster incidents, we are able to anticipate the risks that directly and indirectly effect us and our close circle.

We will cover the tools in a home disaster kit which every household should have. How to store them, what to do with them, etc.

There are things that you should know about both natural and man-made disasters and what you need to be prepared to do to secure and protect your home and yourself.

We will also cover what to do with those things which you prepared yourself with.

Please make notes of questions and we will cover them at the end.

The formal presentation will be approximately 60 minutes long.
