Outdoor Skills and Camping Roundtable

The weather has finally broken and its time to get out and functional. That means that you can sharpen your skills and learn new ones in the outdoors:
Fire building
Wood cutting (Hand and Power)
Camping
Gardening
Fishing
Kayaking
Too many more to list

Staying with Will’s latest format;

Will will moderate and direct the open discussion and sharing among the group. There will be brief PowerPoint inserts to illuminate activities and builds that we are not able to do at the Pfeiffer Center or due to time constraints.
Hands on presentations of tents, stoves
Fueling processes
Campsite selection
Basic Map / Topographical Map reading
A brief discussion about insect vectors including ticks

Any general discussion on unrelated topics will be saved until the end if there is time.

The intent of the new format is to make the group more connected and directly involved in the knowledge and skill sharing.

We will have open discussion interspersed with hands on demonstrations. Check-in at www.practicepreparedness.com as well as here for updates on the topic.

Just a reminder:
Many members have been complaining about never receiving email notifications for the group meetings.
Will has setup his main website www.practicepreparedness.com to include a meetup calendar and both a new posting email notification and newsletter signup on the website.
This will provide instant email and direct contact ability for all members.
For future reference the meeting dates are all locked down now.
