The Packaging that Your Food and Water
Are Stored in Is As Important
As What You Are Storing In It
PracticeSurvival.com highly recommends that you store food and water in glass or stainless steel containers whenever possible.
The materials which the containers are made of or are lined with can poison you, alter your brain, your cells, or just make you sick.
Your food in metallic cans is actually lying in contact with BPA. Nearly all food cans manufactured in the past ten years are lined with plastic containing BPA which leaches into the food that it is in contact with. At temperatures over 98 degrees F the leaching occurs at a dangerously rapid pace. See BPA Section
The threats don't end there. Recently a large amount of Stainless Steel products were found to contain unsafe amounts of radioactive Cobalt and other elements. The steel, sourced from both India and China was found to have been laced with Cobalt which was accidentally mined and crushed into the ore that was made in the foundry. Exposure to the ionizing radiation that was emanating from the steel products can cause mutation of genes, cells, and cause cancer.
